2011-2012 

Pedagogical Project

      Within the educational activities of the year 2011-2012 students of social Wealfare’s School Of the Young Girl Of Lebanon of grades two and four presented their pedagogical project under the title « Guardians of Peace » In the presence of School Principal Sister Mona –Marie Bejani, the responsible of the pedagogical project Mrs. Katia Eliane in addition to parents, teachers and students.

Dino City

           Within the activities of the year 2011-2012.The students of grade one and two in the Social Welfar’s School of The Young Girl of Lebanon Habbak-Jbeil , had a trip to the dinosaurs city in Ajaltoun on Monday 11 and Wednesday 13 of june , the children were introduced to different categories and their way of life.They enjoyed the games special to their age.

Palm Sunday

          Under the spiritual activities for the Social Welfare’s School Of The Young Girl Of Lebanon  of the year 2011-2012, a ceremony was held for this occasion for grades one and two on Friday the 30 of March  2012. They have prayed and song hymns all of this in the participation of  Father Ayman Khoury , responsible  teachers.

International Reading Week

         On March 4, 2012 during the International Reading Week , Easter and Mother’s day the primary students ( grades 1,3,5,6) of Social Welfare’s School Of The Young Girl Of Lebanon Habbak-Jbeil presented their pedagogical project of the year 2011-2012 .Where they also presented some artistic and educational activities . Researches we all presented in the hall room.

Sport Day

        Among the scholastic activities for the year 2011-2012, the cycle 1 and 2 students had a sports Day prepared by the sports teachers Mr.Pierre Tarabay, Mrs .Jinane Ghaouche and Mrs. Nadine Abou Samra. They performed and presented various sportive activities in the presence of Sr.Mona -Marie BEJJANI,cycle teachers and the school volleyball team.

  Plant in the land of Lebanon

DSC02469.JPGAmong the activity plant me in the land of Lebanon “Ezrani bi ard Loubnan” ,the grade 5 A-B , grade 6 A-B and the Secondary 1 students participated in an environmental day where they planted more than 1000 tress in 35 towns. The objective was for Lebanon to enter in Guinness Book for the world records. 
 

 Spiritual retreat (Grade 6)

DSC02371.JPGThe school organized a spiritual retreat for students, in addition to the intermediate and secondary classes, the grade 6 A-B participated in on Thursday the 22nd of March, 2012.

 There was a general explanation about the importance of the “word” in our lives. The priest also explained about spiritual food that we get from the word of God during mass.

SOS visit – Kfarhay Batroun

             Among the pedagogical activities for 2011-2012, the school organized a visit to SOS kfarhay. The grade 3 A-B students along with their teachers visited it on Tuesday the 20th of March, 2012. They saw all the houses and met all the children.

Parliament visit

DSC02314.JPG On Friday the 16th of March, 2012, the grade 6 A-B students visited the parliament where they were welcomed by General Awaidat. He took them on a tour to see all the sections and answered all their questions. 

 

 

Caritas visit – Fghal

DSC02247.JPGOn Wednesday the 14th of March, 2012, the grade 5 A-B students visited Caritas in Fghal that cares about the children with special needs.

The people in charge there welcomed the students and explained to them about all the workshops. At the end our students gave gifts to all the children. 

Elderly Home

DSC02211.JPG Among the activities that are organized by the school, the grade 4 students visited on Monday the 12th of March, 2012 the Elderly Home in Jrabta Convent- St. Rafka Sanctuary. The students talked, sang with the elders and gave them gifts. After that they went to visit St. Nehemtallah el Hardini and Brother Estephan Nehme in Kfifan.  
 

Teacher’s Day

DSC02199.JPGThe primary cycle celebrated Teacher’s Day on Thursday the 8th of March, 2012. The students presented theatrical scenes and poems. At the end, the students gave gifts and flowers to all teachers.

 

 

Teta Play

            Among the entertaining and cultural activities that the school participates in, the primary cycle from grades 1 to 5 watched with their teachers a play “Teta Play” in Odion theatre in Jal El Dib on Tuesday the 6th of March, 2012.

Visit to the Wood Factory in Edde

            Among the pedagogical activities 2011-2012, the students of grade 3 A-B visited with their teachers the Wood Factory in Edde –Jbeil on Wednesday the 22nd of February, 2012. The students got full and detailed explanation of how to use the wooden boards and about the machines

Cinder’s Monday Mass

            On the occasion of the lent season, the primary cycle participated with their teachers in the Cinder’s Mass on Monday the 20th of February, 2012. The ceremony was celebrated by Father Ayman El Khoury and served by the students.

IRAP visit

           Among the activities that are done in our school, a group of Irap organization visited our school and met with Grade 6 students on Thursday the 25th of January, 2012. It was an interesting and beneficial meeting. At the end, the students offered gifts to the children of Irap.  

Health Education

DSC01771.JPGOn Friday December 2, 2011, the girls of grades 5-6 as well as their mothers attended a lecture about “puberty and menstrual cycle” in school. Mrs. Aida Lakiss from “Ajyalouna Community” explained about the stages of puberty. Mrs. Celina Dagher “school psychologist” talked about the psychological phases that happen during this stage. At the end each girl was given a hygienic serviette pack from “Sanita”. 

Mathematics Rally                                                                                           Victory …!!!?

DSC01716.JPGFor the fourth year, the students of Grades 5 and 6 (145 students) on December 1, 2011 participated in an active and enthusiastic way in Mathematics Rally in the presence of their Math teachers “Miss Aline Hayek and Miss Elise Boutros”. The students used new strategies, worked in a serious and effective way for one objective (Victory-Victory- Victory) ……. !!!


Bible visit – sabtiyeh

DSC01666.JPGAmong the educational spiritual activities for the year 2011-2012, a group of grade 6 students visited the Holy Bible community in Sabtiyeh on Thursday the 24th of November, 2011. The students learned about the advanced techniques in printing books and the difference between the old and new one. They enjoyed this activity and it had a great impact on them.  While the other group was attending a program about “Life Education” with the psychologist Mrs. Celina  Dagher at school.

Independence   

DSC01595.JPGOn Monday the 21st of November, the Intermediate and the Secondary cycles celebrated three important occasions in the school. The presentation of the Virgin Mary to the temple, the foundation of the Social Welfare’s School of the Young Girl of Lebanon and the Independence Day.

  During this special day, there was a great performance from the Musical troop of the Lebanese army under the leadership of General Dr. George Herro accompanied by the angelic voice of Mrs. Manale Nehme Souaiby. Mr. Fares Khoury a retired general in the Lebanese army and a father of two students in our school explained through a valuable lecture about the army ranks and their importance. Our students also presented a beautiful and meaningful play (Soura nhatit bi mahala) under the direction of Miss Leila Comair.

It was a great day filled with joy and happiness to all the audience. 

 Cinema         

DSC02139.JPGAmong the activities that the school organizes, the students of C1-C2 watched two films “Winnie the Pooh” and the “Smurfs” on Friday 18 November, 2011.

 The students enjoyed the films and the characters in them.

 

The opening mass of the scholastic year 2011

DSC01523.JPGOctober 27,2011 primary classes’ students participated in a mass organized by the childhood missionary group who promised to be an example for other people wherever they go, in the presence of father Paul Karam, the responsible of the childhood missionary in Asia.
