On Thursday the 22nd of March, 2012, Sister Mona-Marie congratulated the winners in Enigmas contest in Mathematics for the second secondary scientific section. It was in the presence of Mrs. Nova Rachwan (Intermediate and Secondary responsible), Miss Marie Trad (Mathematics coordinator), Mrs. Katia Eliane (pedagogical project coordinator), and Mrs. Dina Arbid (Mathematics teacher). At the end prizes were given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ranks.
Renewal of Baptism vows
Grade 8 (A-B-C) celebrated the renewal of their holy baptism vows in the presence of their parents, god mother and god father on Thursday the 5th of March, 2012. At the end, Father Ayman El Khoury and Father Sami Hayek distributed souvenirs for each student.
On Monday the 20th of February, 2012, College of the Young Girl of Lebanon (Intermediate and Secondary cycles) celebrated Cinder’s Monday Mass. It was served by Father Malek Bou Tannous who emphasized in his speech about the importance of this occasion and how each one should go back deep down inside himself.
The 1st Secondary students visited Bird’s Nest school in Jbeil on Wednesday the 18th of January, 2012. They attended an exhibition about the most distinguished universities, colleges and their majors.
Visit to the Elderly Home
The College of the Young Girl of Lebanon organized a voluntary activity to visit the elderly home in Kfarmashoun. The students accompanied by Miss Graziella entered in disguised costumes. Then they participated with the elders in rosary prayer, danced and sang with them.
Teacher’s Day (cycle 3)
The Intermediate cycle celebrated Te acher’s Day and exposed their pedagogical project in the presence of Sr. Mona-Marie (school principal) whom she emphasized in her speech about teacher’s important and valuable role and mission in front of all the audience ( cycle responsible ,coordinators, teachers and some of school Alumni).
Christian Media Exposition
On November 30, 2011, the first secondary students visited the Christian Media Exposition in Antelias accompanied by Sister Charlotte Obeid, Sister Georgette Mary and Mrs. Carla Karam. At the end the students watched a sketch “seven steps” about how to make your personality stronger.
On November 26, 2011, the second secondary “scientific section” students visited “Anta Akhi” foundation in Ballouneh accompanied by Sister Gladys Sassine and Mrs. Carla Karam. There were live testimonies from the youth. The students also participated in collective activities about disabled people.
On November11, 2011, the second secondary “Humanities section” students visited “Sesobel” in Aintoura accompanied by Sister Samar Ayoub and Mrs. Carla Karam. During the day, there were live testimonies from the youth about disabled world and how to overcome it. At the end, the students participated in voluntary work such as carton wrapping and Christmas cards packaging.
On Friday September 16, 2011, Saint Elige Monastery had the pleasure of welcoming the pedagogical and administrative group in College of the Young Girl of Lebanon Beit Habbak-Jbeil. They attended a spiritual and meditational retreat with Father Joseph Nassah. Then Father Elie Lahoud celebrated the mass. At the end all had lunch there.
First Rate Students
The College of the Young Girl of Lebanon Missionary Nuns of the Holy Sacrament honored the first rate students in the school and in the official exams for the year 2010-2011and presented certificates to them. Sister Mona –Marie Bejjani congratulated the students for their work, effort and perseverance through a meaningful speech. There were also speeches from the school coordinators and the cycle responsible who emphasis on the importance of the school methodology and regulations.
